Notices
What to know in Florida.
- Florida's no-fault law requires $10,000 of PIP and $10,000 of property damage liability for registered vehicles. Bodily injury liability is not required to register, but FLHSMV requires $10,000/$20,000 bodily injury limits after certain crashes or violations.
- A policy without bodily injury liability does not pay for injuries you cause to other people.
- Lawmakers have introduced bills to repeal PIP in several sessions. As of our October 2026 review we found no enacted repeal, and the 2026 bills died in committee. Check FLHSMV for the current rule before you rely on this page.
